Rockets Earn 3.368 GPA in Fall Semester

Every Toledo team tops 3.0 mark for fourth consecutive semester; Women’s Basketball leads the department with a 3.820
TOLEDO, Ohio – University of Toledo student-athletes earned a grade-point average of 3.368 in the 2024 fall semester, Vice President and Director of Athletics Bryan B. Blair announced today.Â
It is the Rockets' third-highest GPA ever for a fall semester. Toledo student-athletes have now recorded a GPA of 3.3 or higher in each of the past 11Â semesters.Â
All teams achieved a 3.0 GPA of higher for the fourth consecutive semester and 12 teams were above a 3.3. For the first time in program history, Women's Basketball (3.820) achieved the highest GPA in the department, followed by Women's Tennis (3.774 GPA) and Men's Golf (3.760).Â

"I am so proud of our student-athletes for another outstanding semester in the classroom," said Blair. "To have each and every team earn a 3.0 GPA or higher shows their consistent dedication to academic excellence. Our goal for every one of our student-athletes is that they earn a meaningful degree to go along with a championship ring on their finger, as they graduate from Toledo fully prepared for their next phase of life. "Academic success is the standard for our student-athletes at the University of Toledo," added Dr. Eugene Henderson, Senior Associate Athletic Director for Student-Athlete Experience. Â "Their consistent performance is a testament to the excellence defined by our commitment to the student-athlete experience."Â
Other highlights from this past semester include:Â
- Â 56 student-athletes (15%) earned President's List honors with a perfect 4.0 GPA.Â
- 173 student-athletes (45%) earned a spot on the Dean's List by garnering at least a 3.50 GPA.Â
- Â 296 out of 385Â (77%) total student-athletes made the Honor Roll by securing a 3.00 GPA or higher.Â
