COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Toledo women's tennis team wrapped up play at the ITA Midwest Regional tournament in Columbus, Ohio on Sunday.

Freshman Jacklynka Scholten went 1-1 in singles play, earning a win over Marquette's Emma Davis in straight sets before falling to Esther Vyrlan from Notre Dame. Sophomore Gaby Rondon also picked up a singles victory in her first match of the tournament as she defeated conference foe Lola Glantz from Western Michigan, 7-6 (7-5), 6-1.

Scholten and Rondon combined in the doubles draw, earning a win over Valpariaso's Brynn Steven/Jolene Fernandes, 8-2, before falling to Nibi Ghosh/Akari Matsuno from Notre Dame.

Audrey Moutama competed in the singles main draw, falling to Illinois' McKenna Schaefbauer in straight sets before taking down Wisconsin's Maya Bordereau in the consolation bracket. Freshman Neha Guru saw her first ITA Regionals action this weekend, competing against DePaul's Nobbs and SIUE's Tomichek.

"It's always fun to see how we measure up to some of the best in college tennis," said head coach Tracy Mauntler. "I was really impressed with JJ (Jacklynka Scholten) and the way she competed in her first big event. She's going to do great things for us. Gaby continues to take steps forward and has shown a lot of growth since her freshman year."
