Rocket Golfer Jamie Butler Raises Over $12,000 for Charity

Junior participated in 100-hole golf marathon for the Jack & Jill Children’s Foundation
TOLEDO, Ohio - Junior Jamie Butler raised over $12,000 for the Jack & Jill Children's Foundation earlier this month as part of a 100-hole golf marathon in Ireland.
Butler began his golf marathon at 6:00 a.m. on July 10 and finished his journey 14 hours later with a huge crowd cheering him on. He played through heavy rain at times that caused the greens to flood and holed his final putt after carrying his own bag for nearly 37 miles. Butler eagled his 97th hole and birdied the 98th hole and finished at even-par for the 100 holes.
A Kildare, Ireland native, Butler played in nine rounds for the Rockets as a sophomore and posted a 76.3 stroke average.
