
Distance Runners Travel to West Virginia for Last Chance Meet

TOLEDO, Ohio – Three members of the Toledo women's track & field team will compete in the West Virginia Last Chance Meet in Morgantown, W.Va. on Saturday as part of their final preparations for next week's MAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
Distance runners Krystal Clark, Alex Bauer, and Lou Trois will represent the Rockets in Morgantown. All three runners are slated to compete in the 1500m while Clark is also scheduled to compete in the 800m.
Toledo split its time between two meets last week, sending the distance runners to the Penn Relays on Thursday while the remainder of the team competed at the Ashland Alumni Open on Saturday. Junior Lou Trois nearly tied her season-best 1500m time in Philadelphia, finishing 24th with a time of 4:24.91. The Rockets recorded six new PRs in Ashland while adding nine top-five finishes. Toledo was led by senior Jordyn Boyer, who won the 3000m steeplechase with a time of 11:29.45. Ava Moran and Audrey Witham added runner-up finishes in the 100m and 800m, respectively. Moran recorded a PR of 12.21 in the 100m finals, while Witham added a personal-best 800m time of 2:13.97.
Toledo's 10,000m squad remained at No. 11 in the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) #EventSquad rankings for the third-straight week, as announced on Monday. The steeplechase runners were also ranked for the first time this season, coming in at No. 18 in the latest rankings.
