Rockets Move Up One Spot in Second Round of MAC Championships

Toledo just eight strokes out of third place
KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Toledo women's golf team moved up one spot into sixth place during Saturday's second round of the 2023 Mid-American Conference Championships. The Rockets still remain within striking distance of a Top Three finish and are just eight shots out of second place at the par-72, 6,011-yard Kalamazoo Country Club.
Juniors Angel Hii and Cheryl Hong led the Rockets today with six-over par 78s with senior Amelia Lee tallying a seven-over par 79.
Sophomore Yedam Lee is tied for 19th place leading UT at 11-over par 155. She is followed by Hii (T-24th/78-78=156), junior Macy Hanus (T-27th/77-81=159), Amelia Lee (T-30th/80-79=159) and Hong (41st/86-78=164).
Kent State is leading the 10-team field at 20-over par 596, 16 strokes in front of Northern Illinois (612). Bowling Green's Kayla Davis is the only individual under par at two-under par 142 (70-72) and is four strokes ahead of the Golden Flashes' Leon Takagi (73-73=146).
Toledo's tee times for tomorrow's final round will begin at 10:00 a.m.
