Toledo, Ohio – The Toledo men's tennis team has one match on its calendar this weekend, a trip across the state boarder to Indianapolis, Ind. on Saturday, Feb. 3. to take on IUPUI. The Rockets and Jaguars will play at 3:00 p.m. in the West Indy Racquet Club.
"This week has given us a good chance to check off some boxes and focus on getting better, as we have some team goals to pursue," head coach
Al Wermer said. "IUPUI is always dangerous. They've played some solid matches against good teams."
About the Rockets
Toledo improved to 2-2 last weekend with a 7-0 victory over 2022 Horizon League Champions Youngstown State last Friday. The Rockets won the doubles point and five of the singles court in two sets. Junor
Vlad Meluta forced a third set decision after losing his opening set from the No. 6 court, won the second set, and put the match away with a 10-6 super tiebreaker final.

Pawit Sornlaksup and senior
Marko Galic added singles victories to their already impressive win-streak. Sornlaksup has won 25-straight singles matches from the No. 1 spot, dating back to last January, while Galic has won his last 11 matches from the No. 5 court.
About IUPUI
IUPUI has yet to record its first victory of the season, entering this weekend with a 0-5 record. The Jaguars have recorded at least one point in each of their matches, except for their 7-0 loss to Butler on Jan. 16. Last season, IUPUI made it to the finals of the 2022 Horizon League Championships, but were swept by YSU, 4-0, for the title.
The Jaguars will host Xavier on Friday afternoon before taking the court vs. the Rockets on Saturday.
