Toledo in Tenth Place After One Round of Hal Williams Collegiate

Second round suspended due to darkness with two holes to play.
MOBILE, Ala. – The Toledo men's golf team completed the first round of the Hal Williams Collegiate on Monday in 10th place at three-over par 287. The second round at the par-71, 7,168-yard Magnolia Grove Crossings Golf Course was suspended with approximately two holes to play due to darkness.

Junior captain Barend Botha led the Rockets with a one-under par 70 with a round that included three birdies and two bogeys.

Senior Palmer Yenrick and freshman Bence Kotel were tied for 32nd place at even-par 71. Kotel carded a team-high five birdies today, while Yenrick collected three.

Rounding out the Rocket lineup were senior NJ Botha (T-66th/75) and junior Jamie Tofte Nielsen (T-77th/77). Sophomore Jamie Butler is competing as an individual and tied for 77th with a 77.

The third and final round will be held tomorrow after the second round is completed.
