Toledo Wraps Up First Spring Tournament in Alabama

Senior NJ Botha leads way for Rockets today with three-under par 68
MOBILE, Ala. – The Toledo men's golf team wrapped up play at the Hal Williams Collegiate on Tuesday with a 14th-place finish. The Rockets registered their best round of the tournament today with a one-under par 283 and finished at 18-over par on the par-71, 7,168-yard Magnolia Grove Crossings Golf Course.
Senior NJ Botha tied his season low by carding a team-best three-under par 68 today to lead UT and finish tied for 50th place at five-over par 218 (75-75-68). He finished three shots behind his brother Barend, who tied for 34th place at two-over par 215 (70-73-72).
Senior Palmer Yenrick also tied for 50th place after shooting a one-under par 71 today to finish at five-over par (71-77-70=218).
Freshman Bence Kotel tied for 63rd place with a seven-over par 220 (71-76-73), while junior Jamie Tofte Nielsen placed 83rd with a 22-over par 235 (77-76-82). Sophomore Jamie Butler competed as an individual and finished 81st at 232 (77-78-77).

Toledo will return to action in three weeks when it travels to Opelika, Ala. to compete in Auburn's Tiger Invitational by Jason Dufner.
