FINDLAY, Ohio – The Toledo women's track & field team's sprinters and jumpers tallied 95 points and captured a second-place team finish on the second and final day of competition at the Findlay Alumni Classic on Saturday afternoon.

Senior Alexia Moehling sprinted the 60-meter hurdles in 8.81 to win the event and lead the Rockets' nine sprinters and five jumpers at the meet. Moehling and sophomore Mayson Bates took a 1-2 finish in the 60H, separated by .01 seconds, with Bates following Moehling with a PR time of 8.82.

In the 60m dash, freshman Pars Gosha nearly hit her personal record, but ran a 7.85 for a second-place finish. She was followed by sophomore Jimesha Ragland (7.94) in fourth and junior Meyah Haywood (7.97) in fifth. Freshman Khamani Jones rounded out the group, recording a PR time of 8.12 in the prelims, and finishing with a seventh-place finish in the finals with a time of 8.19.

The Rockets finished 3-4-5 in the 400m. Senior Ava Moran led with a time of 1:00.41, followed by junior Shianne Johnson (1:01.42) and freshman Laryah Worthy (PR-1:01.87).

In the field events, the Rockets had another successful day highlighted by sophomore Amara Okpalaoka's runner-up finish in the triple jump. She jumped a whopping 11.12m while sophomore Sydney Caddell crushed her previous PR by more than a foot with a 10.41m leap for a fifth-place finish.

Bates and freshman Clare Logan tied for sixth in the high jump at 1.52m in what was Bates' first high jump attempt. Freshman Makenna Englund finished not far behind in 10th with a mark of 1.47m.

Up next on the schedule for Toledo is Boston University's John Thomas Terrier Classic, next Saturday, Jan. 28 in Boston, Mass.
