TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo baseball team received the 2022 America Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) Team Academic Excellence award, the organization announced on Wednesday.

Teams from every level of college and high school baseball were honored with this year's award, which highlights programs coached by ABCA members that posted a GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale for the entire 2021-22 academic year.

Toledo was one of just four MAC schools to earn the honor, joining Ball State, Northern Illinois, and Western Michigan.

Earlier this month the Rockets placed 10 student-athletes on the Academic All-MAC squad.
