TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo softball team will close outs its regular season at home vs. Ohio on Tuesday-Wednesday, May 3-4. The Rockets and Bobcats will play one game on Tuesday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. and close the series with a doubleheader scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday. All three games will be streamed vis ESPN+ and broadcasted locally on BCSN.

Last Time Out
- Toledo took two of three games vs. Northern Illinois over the weekend. UT split of its doubleheader on Friday, with a 14-4 victory during game one, but fell just short, 9-8, in the night cap. The Rockets exploded at the plate in the fifth and sixth innings to close out the weekend with a 17-6 (6 inn.) victory on Saturday.
- Freshman Ellie Price picked up her first two victories of the season, allowing a total of eight runs on 12 hits though 9.2 innings of work in the circle.
- Senior Dayna Denner led the offense with six hits, including three home runs to give 10 on the season, and 10 RBIs on NIU series.
- Sophomore Lauren Erickson had five hits including a double and two home runs, to put her at six homers on the year, and 10 RBIs in the series.
Milestones to Watch
- Denner's six walks at Northern Illinois bumped her up to tie for fifth place on Toledo's career all-time walk list with Julie Clark (1985-88) at 70.
- The Rockets' six home runs vs. Northern Illinois improved them at 35 this season, putting them third overall in school history. The current record is held by the Rockets' 2018 team with 44.
About Ohio
Ohio (20-21, 14-8 MAC) had a week off from after taking one of three games from NIU on April 24. The Bobcats dropped the first two games on April 23 (10-7, 10-5) but won the final game 9-4. In the Bobcats' win, they scored nine runs on 12 hits and just committed one error. Ohio will have one series following its visit at Toledo this week and close the season vs. Western Michigan on Saturday-Sunday in Athens, Ohio. Sophomore Annalia Paoli leads Ohio's offense with a .380 average, including a team-high 49 hits and eight home runs. Senior Mackensie Kohl has been the major component in the circle, with a 4.34 ERA through 169.1 innings pitched including 116 strikeouts.
