Toledo Heading to Raleigh for Stitch Intercollegiate

TOLEDO, Ohio - The Toledo men's golf team will head into the home stretch of its 2021-22 season when it travels to Raleigh, N.C. this weekend to compete in North Carolina State's Stitch Intercollegiate. The tournament will be held on Friday-Saturday, April 8-9 at the par-72, 7,287-yard Lonnie Poole Golf Course with live scoring available on Golfstat.com.

The Rockets are competing against another competitive field that includes five programs ranked in GolfStat's Top 50. Leading the way is No. 14 Notre Dame followed by No. 25 N.C. State, No. 27 East Tennessee State, No. 45 Duke and No. 46 Georgia Southern. Also participating will be Air Force, Campbell, College of Charleston, Davidson, Jacksonville State, Nebraska and UNC-Greensboro.

Toledo's lineup will consist of sophomore Barend Botha (72.3 stroke average) at No. 1, sophomore Jamie Tofte Nielsen (73.0) at No. 2, senior Lukas Clark (72.3) at No. 3, junior NJ Botha (73.0) at No. 4, and senior David Amm (74.8) at No. 5. Junior Palmer Yenrick (73.9) is competing as an individual.

NJ Botha and Clark led the way in the Rockets' last event by tying for 34th place at the Linger Longer Invitational. The duo both carded a four-over par 220 in the event that included nine Top 50 teams.
Toledo will play in Ohio State's Kepler Intercollegiate on April 23-24, its final tournament prior to the Mid-American Conference Championships on April 29-May 1.
