Rockets in Sixth Place after Opening Round of Stitch Intercollegiate

RALEIGH, N.C. – Toledo sits in sixth place at three-over par 291 following Friday's opening round of North Carolina State's Stitch Intercollegiate. The second round at the par-72, 7,287-yard Lonnie Pool Golf Course was suspended due to darkness and will resume tomorrow at 8:00 a.m.
Sophomore Barend Botha is leading the Rockets and tied for eighth place at one-under par 71. Botha played an aggressive round, finishing with six birdies and five bogeys.
Senior David Amm is one stroke behind Botha and tied for 18th place with an even-par 72. Â Amm's round consisted of four birdies and four bogeys.
Sophomore Jamie Tofte Nielsen is tied for 39th place with a two-over par 74, while junior NJ Botha is tied for 73rd place at seven-over 79.
Junior Palmer Yenrick is competing as an individual and tied for 49th place with a three-over par 75.
No. 13 Notre Dame led the 13-team field after 18 holes with a four-under par 284.
