TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo softball team will play its final road series of the season this weekend in DeKalb, Ill. at Northern Illinois. The Rockets and Huskies will play one game on Friday, April 29 at 4:00 p.m. ET followed by a doubleheader on Saturday, April 30 beginning at 2:00 p.m. ET

Last Time Out
Northern Illinois (13-23, 7-13 MAC) won two of three games against Ohio over the weekend. The Huskies swept the opening doubleheader on Saturday (10-7, 10-5) and dropped the final game on Sunday (9-4). The Huskies connected on 33 hits over the weekend, including three home runs. Senior Katie Keller leads the Huskies' offense and the conference with a .418 average on 46 hits including five home runs, one of which came on Sunday. In the circle, sophomore Emily Dato has a 3.97 ERA through 91.2 innings of work including a team-high 49 strikeouts. The Huskies are third in the MAC with a team .277 average and a .352 on-base percentage.

Toledo (10-34, 3-18 MAC) will play its final regular season series at Scott Park vs. Ohio on Tuesday-Wednesday, May 3-4.

- Toledo closed out its non-conference schedule at No. 20 Notre Dame with an 8-0 (5 inn.) defeat Tuesday evening at Melissa Cook Stadium.
- Senior Dayna Denner's two walks vs. Notre Dame keeps her at seventh place on Toledo's career all-time walk list with 64, just three away from tying Lidia Kresztesi (1989-92) in sixth place. Leslie Strong (2005-08) sits atop the list with 105.
- Denner's one double in the Ball State series (April 15-16) put her at 34 for her career, tied with Brenda Steinbrunner (1986-89) and Lacy LaVier (2007-10) on the all-time list. Chandler Rice (2014-17) sits at the top of the list with 50.
- Senior Aubrey Reed, Raelyn Nyren and Denner are on the career hit-by-pitch list. Nyren is tied for third with Keri Gallagher (2008-11) with 18, Reed has six this season and is sixth-all time with 16, while Denner has been nicked eight times this season and is tied seventh on the list with Gina Muratori (2003-06) with 15. Allison Hess (2006-08) tops the list with 39.
- The Rockets' four home runs vs. Kent State gave them 29 this season, tying for fifth place on the all-time single-season record with the 2010 and 2017 squads. The all-time record is held by the Rockets' 2018 team with 44.
