JONESBOROUGH, Tenn. – Junior Barend Botha is tied for second place and two shots out of the lead after shooting a four-under par 68 for the Toledo men's golf team in Sunday's opening round of the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate. As a team, the Rockets are in 13^th place at eight-over par 296.

Botha played a nearly flawless round with five birdies and just one bogey. He bogeyed his ninth hole to make the turn at one-under par and closed out his round with two birdies giving him an under-par round for the sixth time in 10 rounds this fall.

Senior Palmer Yenrick and junior Jamie Tofte Nielsen are both tied for 58^th place after carding three-over par 75s.

Rounding out the Rocket lineup are seniors NJ Botha (T-77^th/78) and Michael Terblanche (86^th/81). Freshman Mason Deal is tied for 72^nd place with a five-over par 77 in his first round as a Rocket.
