Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Rockets Defeated by Bobcats, 4-1

TOLEDO, Ohio – Senior Madison Medalle scored the tying goal for the Toledo women's soccer team in the second half, but three second-half goals by Ohio proved too much to overcome in a 4-1 setback to the Bobcats at Paul Hotmer Field.

Ohio led 1-0 until senior Morgan Otteson connected with Madison Medalle to score Toledo's first goal in the 48th minute to tie the game. The Bobcats responded two minutes later to regain the lead. Ohio added two more goals and kept Toledo off the board to leave the Glass City with a 4-1 victory.

"It was a tough loss," Head Coach TJ Buchholz said. "We've had a lot of injuries on the back line, and I think the girls that came in during the first half did great and battled. It's admirable that our players stepped up in that situation, which isn't easy against a team like Ohio. This team continues to stay resilient in the face of challenges. We'll look to get better from tonight and bounce back on Sunday."
