YPSILANTI, Mich. – The Toledo women's soccer team equalized in the first half and shut out Eastern Michigan in the second half for a 1-1 draw against the Eagles at Scicluna Field on Saturday.

Paige Dornheggen made five saves to keep the Eagles (6-4-5, 4-3-2 MAC – 14 PTS) from taking all three points. Toledo earned its seventh-consecutive road result, matching a streak across the spring 2021 and fall 2021 seasons for the second-longest road unbeaten streak in program history.

Toledo also came back for a result for the third time this season and second time in MAC play.

Eastern Michigan controlled the shot board, 12-7, and corner kicks were more even, favoring EMU, 4-3.

Quoting Head Coach Mark Batman
"Good road point and we made chances to win it late. Their goalkeeper made a huge save late, as did ours. Really back-and-forth game. We are incrementally improving each week. Now we need to set our sights on Ohio and try to get three points there."
