PORT CLINTON, Ohio – Freshman Reese Jansa is in second place and just one shot out of the lead following Monday's opening two rounds of the Rocket Classic. Jansa shot three-over par 147 at the par-72, 6,118-yard Catawba Island Course to help put the Toledo women's golf team in third place after the opening 36 holes.

Jansa bounced back from a double-bogey on her second hole of the day by registering three birdies in a four-hole stretch to finish her first 18 holes at two-over. She closed out her second round with a birdie on the final hole to climb within a stroke of the lead.

Three more Rockets – junior Macy Hanus (157), sophomore Yedam Lee (159) and junior Angel Hii (159) – are in the Top 20 of the individual standings.

Rutgers' Leigha Devine leads all individuals at two-over par 146 with her teammate Rikke Nordvik in third place at four-over par 148. The Scarlet Knights (604) hold a seven-shot lead over second-place Akron (611) and are 21 shots in front of the Rockets.

The tournament's third and final round will begin tomorrow at 9:00 a.m. with a shotgun start.
