Toledo Hosts Youngstown State & UIC this Weekend

TOLEDO, Ohio – The University of Toledo women's tennis team will host Horizon League's Youngstown State and University of Illinois-Chicago this weekend at Twos Athletic Club.
Toledo will take the court against Youngstown State on Saturday, Jan. 29 at 1:00 p.m., followed by a 11:00 a.m. match with UIC on Sunday, Jan. 30.
Last Time on the Court
Toledo is coming of a 1-1 showing at the FGCU Weekend Kickoff Jan. 14-15, that opened the spring portion of their 2022 season. The Rockets dropped their first match against FGCU 5-2, winning one doubles match and two singles matches. The following day, UToledo defeated Liberty 4-2 in a comeback victory in singles play.
About Youngstown
Youngstown State opens its spring season at Toledo on Saturday. The Penguins closed out the fall portion at the CSUN Invitational on Nov. 14, where they went a combined 17-17 led by Maria Oliveria who won three matches and the consolation title of the Singles D bracket.
About UIC
UIC (0-1) was represented by senior Ana Jover at the ITA Super Regionals on Oct. 23, and was eliminated by Sydni Ratliff of Ohio State (6-1, 6-2) in the Round of 32.
