Rockets Record 10 Top-5 Finishes at Grand Valley

ALLENDALE, Mich. – The University of Toledo women's track and field team came away with a 10 top-5 finishes at the Grand Valley State University Bob Eubanks Open on Saturday.Â
Toledo was led by sophomore Promise Cross in the track events and freshman Amara Okpalaoka in the field events. Cross posted an 8.93 mark, second-place finish in the 60m hurdles while Okpalaoka posted a third-place finish in the long jump with a 5.44m mark.
Four Rockets landed third-place finishes at the meet: senior Rayna Horner (400m), Rebecca Snyder (mile), senior Claire Steigerwald (3000m) and freshman Amara Okpalaoka (long jump).
Toledo will head back to Michigan next week for the Michigan Invitational hosted by the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor on Saturday, Jan. 22.
