Emily Vining Takes First in Mile at Michigan Invitational

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Sophomore sisters Emily and Madeline Vining took first and third place, respectively, in the mile run at Michigan Invitational in Ann Arbor, Mich. on Saturday Jan. 22.
Emily Vining broke the tape with a time of 4:56.60, while Madeline Vining crossed the finish line with a time of 4:58.36. Freshman Morgan Hicks placed 10th in the event (5:02.37).
Other Rocket top-five finishes at the meet included a third-place showing by sophomore Promise Cross in the high jump (1.63m) and a fourth-place finish by freshman Amara Okpalaoka in the long jump (5.45m).

The Rockets head to Boston Mass. next to compete in the John Thomas Terrier Classic on Jan. 28-29.
