TOLEDO, Ohio – The University of Toledo women's tennis team will look to keep rolling this weekend when it hosts Buffalo on Friday, April 23 at 1:00 p.m. at the UT Varsity Tennis Courts.
"This team competes better as a unit than any team I've ever coached," head coach Tracy Mauntler said. "They continue to get better every time they step on the court. We expect Buffalo to give us its best stuff so we will be ready."

Last Time Out
Toledo won both of its matches last week, defeating Northern Illinois on the road and taking down Miami at home.
Against the Huskies, the Rockets started the day off by winning the doubles point to go ahead 1-0 in the match. The top doubles pairing of freshman Cassie Alcala and sophomore Sloane Teske won 6-2 on the No. 1 court. Sophomore Laura Morera and senior Patricia Panta then won 6-3 on the second court to clinch the point for UT. Toledo won five of the six singles matches to win, 6-1. Panta finished first on the No. 4 court and was followed by freshman Shalini Tallamraju's win on the No. 5 court to bring the Midnight Blue and Gold to the brink of victory. Freshman Ava McQuillin won on the No. 6 court to provide the clinching point, and Alcala and Teske took down their Huskie counterparts on the No. 1 and 2 singles courts, respectively, to cap Toledo's big win.
On Sunday, Miami won the doubles point to take a 1-0 lead over UT. Morera and Panta won on the No. 2 court to keep the Rockets alive, but the RedHawks were able to win on the top court to take the point. Toledo was able to win the first two singles matches to take the lead. McQuillin took down her opponent on the No. 6 court, and Julia Kuszynski won on the No. 3 court to make it 2-1. Alcala defeated the reigning MAC Player of the Year on the No. 1 court to put the Rockets on the brink of victory, but Miami was able to win on courts No. 2 and 4 to tie the match at 3-3. The result came down to the No. 5 singles court, where Tallamraju came through with a three-set victory to provide the clinching point in Toledo's win. All four of UT's points on Sunday were provided by freshmen.
