Rockets Heading to Indiana for Purdue Fall Invitational

TOLEDO, Ohio — The Toledo men's golf team will travel to West Lafayette, Ind. next week for the Purdue Fall Invitational. The 12-team tournament will be held at the par-72, 7,415-yard Kampen Course on Monday-Tuesday, October 11-12.

The scoring format will consist of each team fielding five players, with the lowest four scores counting for each round. Thirty-six holes will be played the first day with the final 18 holes set for the second day.

"Most of the team has had the chance to play the Kampen Course at Purdue at one time or another," Head Coach Jeff Roope said. "With some working knowledge of the golf course, coupled with the hard work these guys have put in during practice, they are looking forward to making the trip over to West Lafayette."

The Rockets will be joined by five Mid-American Conference programs — Ball State, Eastern Michigan, Kent State, Miami and Northern Illinois — as well as Cincinnati, Illinois State, Indiana, Marquette, Minnesota and the host Boilermakers.

Toledo's lineup will include sophomore Barend Botha at No. 1, sophomore Jamie Tofte Nielsen at No. 2, senior Max Siegfried at No. 3, senior Lukas Clark at No. 4 and senior David Amm at No. 5. Junior NJ Botha is competing as an individual.
