Rockets Tied for Third at Purdue Fall Invitational

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Toledo sophomore Jamie Tofte Nielsen carded a one-under par 71 in Monday's opening round at the Purdue Fall Invitational before play was suspended due to inclement weather with over half of the second round yet to be played.  The second round will be completed tomorrow morning with the final 18 holes scheduled to follow.
Nielsen was tied for fifth place individually and his performance helped the Rockets sit in a third-place tie in the team standings at five-over par 293. Nielsen finished his round with 15 pars, two birdies and one bogey.
Seniors Lukas Clark and Max Siegfried were tied for 17th and 22nd place, respectively. Clark carded a one-over par 73 while, Siegfried carded a one-over par 74. Senior David Amm was tied for 29th place at three-over par 75, while sophomore Barend Botha was tied for 55th place at six-over par 78.
Junior NJ Botha was competing as an individual and tied for 29th place at three-over par 75.
