WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Senior Lukas Clark tied for ninth place to help a balanced Toledo squad post a third-place finish at the Purdue Fall Invitational on Tuesday. The Rockets' 54-hole score of one-over par 865 trailed first-place Indiana by just seven strokes and the host Boilermakers by six shots.
"Everyone played solid golf," Head Coach Jeff Roope said. "They had good plans to play the course and were thankful to have our assistant coach join us. That helped our continuity and helped us build confidence. We're looking forward to building on this in our final two fall tournaments."
Clark concluded the tourney with a one-under par 215 after shooting a two-under 70 and one-under 71 in his final two rounds. He tied for second in the 75-player field with 39 pars and also recorded eight birdies.
Senior David Amm and sophomore Barend Botha also played their final two rounds under par. Amm tied for 22nd place at two-over par 218 (75-71-72), while Botha tied for 26th place at three-over par 219 (78-72-69).
Sophomore Jamie Tofte Nielsen tied for 28th place at four-over par 220 (71-75-74), and senior Max Siegfried tied for 31st place at five-over par 221 (74-74-73).
