PANAMA CITY, Fla. – The Toledo women's golf team concluded play at this weekend's Florida State Match-Up on Sunday with a 10
th-place finish. The tournament featured three teams ranked in Golfstat's Top 25 and was played at the par-72, 6,290-yard Bay Point Golf Club in Panama City.
"This event was meant to stretch us and give us a look into the next level," Head Coach
Jenny Coluccio said. "The course and windy conditions were quite challenging, and it shows when the best teams in the country were fighting to stay level par. We fought through injuries, learning how to play a person down and how to mentally manage what we can control. I'm proud of their ability to continue to adapt, and that showed in our scores improving each round."
Senior
Saranlak Tumfong (81-82-79) led the Rockets by tying for 45
th place, four spots in front of freshman

Thunpijja Sukkasem was forced to withdraw in today's final round as well as yesterday's opening round due to illness.
"We hope Thun will be able to tee it up again in Vegas. However we will await more information first," Coluccio said. "She was extremely tough and really wanted to contribute down here. Unfortunately, it wasn't in the cards for her. What's more important is her health."
No. 13 LSU captured the team title at 22-over par 886, 14 strokes in front of the host Seminoles (900). The Tigers' Ingrid Lindblad (75-72-73) ran away with medalist honors by posting an eight-stroke advantage over her nearest competitor.
Toledo returns to action next week when it travels to Boulder City, Nev. for South Dakota State's Jackrabbit Invitational on Monday-Tuesday, March 9-10.
