TOLEDO, Ohio - The University of Toledo men's tennis team is set for a double feature in West Lafayette, Ind. on Saturday against Big East opponent DePaul at 2:00 p.m, and Big Ten contender Purdue at 6:00 p.m. Both matches will be played at the Schwartz Tennis Center.
Last Time Out

Last Time Against DePaul
Toledo last played DePaul on Mar. 21, 2015, where they fell 5-2 to the Blue Demons. Nicky Wong defeated Nathan de Veer in three sets (2-6, 6-4, 7-5) on the No. 3 court. Stjepan Sisko earned a win on the No. 1 court after his opponent retired in the second set.
Scouting DePaul
The Blue Demons are 1-2 (0-0 Big East) after opening dual match play at home with a sweep of UIC. DePaul's losses come at the hands of Wisconsin, who defeated them 5-2, and Green Bay, who won 4-3. Prior to their match with Toledo, the Blue Demons will face Purdue at 10:00 a.m. Saturday morning.
Seniors Christopher Casati, Boris Spanjaard, Tripp Tuff, and sophomore Vito Tonejc have posted 2-1 (0-0 Big East) records in dual match singles this season. Tonejc has also posted a 2-0 doubles record from the No. 3 court.
The Blue Demons went 11-14 (4-3 Big East) last year, tallying four 6-1 victories on the season and notching 4-3 edge-outs of Green Bay and Creighton. In the Big East Championship, No. 4 seeded DePaul defeated No. 5 seeded Creighton, 4-1, in the quarterfinals before falling 4-0 to No. seeded St. John's in the semifinals.
Last Time Against Purdue
The Rockets opened the 2018-19 dual match season with Purdue on the road, falling 6-1.
Luka Vitosevic posted the Rockets' sole point, defeating Maksymilian Raupuk in two sets (6-4, 6-3).
Scouting Purdue
The Boilermakers are 2-3 (0-0 Big Ten). Purdue edged-out Army West Point and University of Utah on the road, 4-3 each and fell to Harvard, Notre Dame and No. 6 ranked Ohio State.
Leading the Boilermakers is senior Athell Bennett, who has posted a 2-1 record in dual singles from the No. 1 court so far this season. Juniors Mateo Julio and Maksymilian Raupuk are 1-2 from the No. 2 and No. 3 courts, respectively.
Last season Purdue went 10-14 (3-8 Big Ten), tallying three 4-0 sweeps as well as a 4-3 victory over No. 46 ranked Iowa. In the Big Ten Tournament, No. 10 seeded Purdue upset No. 7 seeded Northwestern, 4-3, in the quarterfinals before falling to No. 15 ranked, No. 2 seeded Illinois, 4-2.
