TOLEDO, Ohio - The Toledo women's tennis team fell to Marshall, 5-2, in Toledo on Sunday with senior Dee Dee Leenabanchong and freshman Laura Morera posting the Rockets' sole points.

"I"m proud of the battle we put up today against a tough Marshall team," said head coach Tracy Mauntler. "I feel confident about where we are so early in the season."

The Rockets dropped the doubles point early, going into singles play down by one. Leenabanchong scored the Rockets' first point, defeating Anna Smith on the No. 1 court, 7-5, 6-3. On the No. 5 court, Morera entered a three-set battle with Madi Ballow. Morera dropped the first set 3-6, before bouncing back, 6-2, in the second. Morera clinched the third set, 6-4 to post the Rockets' second point.
