TOLEDO, Ohio— With the 2020 baseball season just a few weeks away, Toledo baseball and head coach Rob Reinstetle announced several improvements to the Rockets' field and surrounding facilities.
The following is a list of facilities improvements:
"The overall feel of the new locker room is a huge upgrade," junior infielder Chris Meyers said. "A lot of time and money was put into it and it shows. The team is more than thrilled with the improvements, I think they have given the program a new energy."
The Rockets open their season in Friday, Feb. 14 with a three-game series at East Tennessee State. Toledo's first home game is scheduled for Tuesday, March 17 against Youngstown State.
The following is a list of facilities improvements:
- Complete hallway and locker room renovation with new wall graphics.
- Rebuilt pitching mounds at Scott Park (game mound and home bullpen).
- Painted dugouts and installed new benches and new bat/helmet rack.
- New fencing down the left and right field sides.
- New LED lights and rebuilt turf pitching mounds in the indoor facility.
