Boca Raton, Fla. - The Toledo women's tennis team fell to Charlotte 4-0 in Boca Raton, Fla. on Tuesday. The match was played in a clinch format.

The Rockets had a rocky start, dropping the doubles point early.

In singles action senior Kokoro Chishaki and freshman Eileen Carney were in their third sets in when Charlotte clinched the match. Senior Thalita Rodrigues won her first set and was trailing 5-2 in the second before the match was called.

"The only thing I was disappointed with today was the doubles. We battled like crazy in singles, and because we played to clinch, we didn't get to finish those matches," said head coach Tracy Mauntler. "We are playing very tough teams down here and I know we are getting better. I've seen improvement every day."
