Boca Raton, Fla. - The Toledo women's tennis team fell 4-1 to UT Arlington in Boca Raton, Fla. Wednesday afternoon.

"We played great in doubles again today. It seems that we are starting to figure that out, so that's promising," said head coach Tracy Mauntler. "We played well at spots today in singles, but not enough to get the job done. This tough spring break schedule will pay off for us."

The Rockets started out strong in doubles action with wins on the No. 1 and No. 2 courts. Junior Dee Dee Leenabanchong/senior Kokoro Chishaki defeated Carla Pons/Momoka Horiguchi 6-4, and senior Thalita Rodrigues/freshman Kiersten Carlson defeated Nanaka Takeuchi/Lucia Natal 6-1.

In singles play, Rodrigues was tied at 5-5 with her opponent in her second set and Leenabanchong was ahead 5-3 in her second before the match was called due to UTA victories on the No. 2, 3, 4 and 6 courts.
