Freshman Jamie Myers started on the mound and fellow rookies Kyle Jones and Aric McAtee also pitched.
- John Servello has reached base in 18 straight games, tying Brad Boss for the longest on-base streak of the season.
- Opposing hitters are batting just .197 against Layne Schnitz-Paxton. He is 2-0 in his last four starts with a 1.78 ERA.
