TOLEDO, Ohio - The University of Toledo men's tennis team will head to Kalamazoo, Mich. on Nov. 8-10 for the Mid-American Conference Invitational, hosted by Western Michigan. Competition will start at 1:00 p.m. on Friday at the West Hills Athletic Club.

Thawin Suksathaporn fought his way through the singles qualifying rounds, racking up wins over Youngstown State's Joao Garretto, Marquette's Stefan Dragovic, and Chicago State's Jakov Suler to earn a place in the main draw. Suksathaporn's run in the main draw was cut short by No. 8 seed Guillermo Cabrera from Notre Dame in two sets. Senior
Danilo Vukotic earned an automatic spot in the main draw, but fell after three sets to No. 16 seed Matt Gamble, also from Notre Dame (6-4, 5-7, 6-4).
In doubles action, Vukotic and junior
Filip Zupancic defeated Eastern Illinois' Daniel Hernandez/Christos Kyrillou (8-7(4)) before falling to Ohio State's Justin Boulais/James Trotter (8-5).

Tyler Gargas took home the flight three doubles crown, notching wins against Binghamton's Alejandro Pena/Inigo Saez, Buffalo's Nickolas Frisk/Jonah Murphy, and Ball State's Tom Carney/Bryce Bonin.

Cole Shoults took third within the Flight Three bracket, tallying wins over Binghamton's Valentin Bouchet/Josh Druger and Buffalo's Frisk/Murphy. Shoults also posted a third-place finish in the Flight Six singles, defeating Binghamton's Alejandro Pena (6-3, 7-5) and Saez (6-4, 6-3).
