EVANSTON, Ill. – The Toledo women's swimming and diving team finished the final day of the three-day TYR Invitational in second place and posted 11 Top-10 times over the three-day event held at Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill. Strong performances from Sydnee Dressel, Joelle Gallais, Lauren Kilgore and Duda Sales helped secure the second-place finish for the Rockets.

"It is very encouraging to end the meet with three more top-10 times," said interim head coach Brie Globig. "The team maintained their stamina all of the way through a long weekend of racing. It's great to see what we accomplished, and we can't wait to get back to work."

Senior Duda Sales led the way for the Rockets in the 200 butterfly, recording the fourth-fastest time in program history with a 2:00.98. Not far behind was teammate Lauren Kilgore who took ninth place and clocked the eighth-fastest time in program history at 2:02.92. Lauren Wegener recorded a career-best in the event, while Emma Sampson clocked a season-best time.

Sophomore Sydnee Dressel recorded the 10th-fastest time in program history in the 200 backstroke, touching the wall in 2:01.51. Dressel's time was enough to finish fifth behind teammate Izzy Jones, who took fourth. Jones clocked a 1:56.92 in the event, less than a second off of her school-record time set in 2017.

Sophomore Joelle Gallais posted a 245.35 on the one-meter board, earning third overall.
