Miami leads 68-60. UT has won 11 in a row over Miami, with four wins on road, six at home and one last year in MAC Tournament.
SETTING THE SCENE
Toledo (16-4, 4-3 MAC) visits Oxford, Ohio on Tuesday, Jan. 29 to face Miami (11-9, 3-4 MAC) for the second time in two weeks. Tip-off time is set for 7:00 p.m. in Millett Hall with the contest being streamed on ESPN-Plus.
UT is currently tied for first place in the MAC's West Division with Northern Illinois (11-9, 4-3) and has won four of its last five games.

Jaelan Sanford scored 22 points and junior
Luke Knapke added 21 points and a career-high 13 rebounds to lift Toledo to a 76-72 home victory over Central Michigan on Saturday. The game wasn't settled until the final moments when senior
Nate Navigato made a pair of free throws to give Toledo a 74-70 lead with six seconds left.
Junior
Willie Jackson (12 points, 11 rebounds) joined Knapke with a double-double for the contest. Sophomore
Marreon Jackson added 14 points.
Toledo outrebounded CMU, 51-41, and held the Chippewas to just 26-of-71 shooting (36.6 percent) from the floor. Toledo's defense added a school-record 11 blocked shots, led by four from Knapke and three from
Willie Jackson.
The Rockets posted a 71-59 home victory over the RedHawks in Savage Arena on Jan. 15 to extend their winning streak in the series between the two schools to 11 games. Sanford scored 15 of his team-high 19 points in the first half to lead UT to the win. Joining Sanford in double figures were sophomore
Spencer Littleson (12 pts.), Knapke (11 pts.) and
Marreon Jackson (10 pts.). Littleson knocked down 4-of-6 shots from long range and added a career-high seven rebounds.
Toledo shot 42.9 percent from the floor and went 10-for-26 from three-point range. The Rockets held Miami to 39.2 percent on the floor and just 5-of-16 from beyond the arc.
Miami has won three straight games since facing the Rockets, including a 67-53 home triumph over Bowling Green on Saturday to snap the Falcons' 10-game win streak.

• UT ranks third nationally (as of Jan. 26) with its 78.6 FT%. The Rockets also rank in the Top 25 nationally in assists per game (17.5/13th), fewest personal fouls per game (15.1/14th), defensive rebounds per game (29.3/15th), assist/turnover ratio (1.45/16th), 3PTFGs per game (9.9/20th), and three-point FG% (38.8/21st).
• UT leads the MAC in FT% (78.6), three-point FGs per game (9.9), three-point FG% (37.9) and is tied for first in assists per game (17.5).

Jaelan Sanford leads the MAC with an 87.0 FT% and ranks seventh with a team-high 17.0 ppg. The Evansville, Ind. native moved ahead of Rian Pearson (1,589 – 2011-14) into eighth place on UT's all-time scoring list with 17 points against KSU last Tuesday and now has 1,615 points.

Nate Navigato dropped five spots to a No. 7 national ranking with a 47.0 three-point FG% after going 0-for-5 vs. CMU. Navigato holds the UT record for career three-point FGs with 279 treys and has hit a season-high five three-pointers on five occasions. He scored a season-high 21 points and connected on 5-of-7 three-point field-goal attempts at Western Michigan (Jan. 12).

Willie Jackson ranks third in the MAC and 16th nationally with 10.3 rpg. He has eight double-doubles and has led or shared the team lead in rebounding on 15 occasions. Jackson dished out a career-high assists to go along with nine points and 13 boards at Kent State (Jan. 22).

Marreon Jackson is third in the MAC with 4.7 assists per game and sixth with a 2.0 assist/turnover ratio. He is the Rockets' third-leading scorer in league play with 13.7 ppg.

Luke Knapke is the only Rocket to score in double digits in every league contest and ranks second on the team with a 14.4 scoring mark in MAC play. Knapke earned this week's MAC West Division Player of Week honors and is averaging 19.7 ppg and 9.3 rpg with a 65.8 FG% (25-of-38) in his last three games.
• Knapke moved into third place on UT's all-time blocked shot list with four blocks Saturday. He now has 114 blocks, two more than Casey Shaw (1994-98) and 24 behind J.C. Harris (1989-92).

Chris Darrington comes off the bench and ranks fifth on the team with a 9.6 scoring mark. He leads UT in free throws made (60) and free throws attempted (73) and scored a career-high 21 points at Buffalo (Jan. 8).

AJ Edu leads the MAC with 2.0 blocks per game and is averaging a MAC-best 2.7 bpg in league play. He registered a season-high five rejections vs. Cornell (Dec. 19), Ball State (Jan. 4) and Ohio (Jan. 18) as well as three at Buffalo (Jan. 8).

• 11 of UT's 15 wins have been by 11 points or more.
• Toledo has six different players shooting 75.0 percent or better from the free-throw line.
Nate Navigato leads the way with a 95.0 FT% (19-of-20).
• Toledo has had at least four players score in double digits in 17 of 20 contests and has had five players score in double figures on five occasions.
• Toledo is 13-2 when outrebounding its opponent and lost for just the second time this season when winning the battle of the boards last Tuesday at Kent State.
• At least five different Rockets have made three-point field goals in 15 of 20 games.

LEFTOVER NOTES FROM THE CMU GAME
• The Rockets have won their last four meetings vs. the Chippewas.
• Toledo's 11 blocked shots were one more than the previous school record established vs. Detroit Mercy on Feb. 10, 1992. The Rockets' record for rejections in a MAC contest was nine.
• A pair of Rockets collected double-doubles in a game for the first time since
Jordan Lauf (16 pts.-14 reb.) and
Steve Taylor, Jr. (15 pts.-10 reb.) did vs. CMU on Feb. 24, 2017.

• Toledo's five three-point field goals and 20.0 three-point FG% were both season lows.
SOME INFO ON THE ROCKETS' OPPONENT
The RedHawks are 8-2 at home and dropped their first two MAC contests in Millett Hall vs. CMU (84-77) and NIU (83-70) for their only home losses this season. Miami ranks last in the MAC with 11.7 assists per game.
Sophomores Nike Sibande and Dalonte Brown are the only two RedHawks scoring in double digits with 16.3 and 13.4 ppg, respectively. Senior guard Darrian Ringo ranks second in the MAC with 5.3 assists per game and is 13th nationally with 2.55 steals per game.
ON THE HORIZON
UT will continue its two-game road swing with a trip to DeKalb, Ill. to battle MAC West Division co-leader Northern Illinois (11-9, 4-3 MAC) on Saturday, Feb. 2. The Rockets will return home on Tuesday, Feb. 5 to face East Division foe Akron (12-8, 4-3 MAC) in its only meeting vs. the Zips this season.
