Toledo, Ohio – The University of Toledo men's tennis team is set for a weekend of action against Wright State on Friday at 7:00 p.m. and Dayton on Monday at noon. Both matches will be played at Shadow Valley in Maumee, Ohio.

The Rockets are coming off a challenging opening weekend, falling at Purdue (6-1) and at Indiana (7-0). Senior
Luka Vitosevic scored Toledo's lone point of the weekend, defeating Purdue's Maksymilian Raupuk (6-4, 6-3) at the No. 1 singles position. Â

Wright State and Dayton will both be opening the spring portion of their seasons at Toledo.

Last Time Against Wright State
The Rockets faced Wright State last season on Jan. 21 in Dayton, securing a 6-1 victory over the Raiders. Duos

Scouting Wright State
The Raiders went 13-12 overall last season (2-5 in the Horizon League), recording four sweeps and a victory over Xavier 4-3. Wright State has a young team, only returning two seniors. Junior Param Pun returns with a 23-11 over singles record, going 11-2 at No. 3 singles, and a 19-17 doubles record, playing primarily at No. 2 doubles.

Last Time Against Dayton
UT faced Dayton last season on Jan. 20 in Dayton, falling 6-1 to the Flyers. Anzalone secured Toledo's lone point in singles, defeating Carsten Fisher at the No. 2 position.

Scouting Dayton
The Flyers went 18-7 overall last season (4-1 in the Atlantic 10), recording eight sweeps. Dayton fought their way through the A10 Championships, defeating Duquesne (4-1) and Davidson (4-3), before falling to VCU 4-1 in the finals. Dayton returns A10 Conference Player of the Year, senior Jordan Benjamin, who had a 20-2 singles record (16-1 in dual play) at the No. 1 singles position and qualified for the NCAA Singles Championships. Benjamin also had an 11-7 doubles record at No. 2 doubles.
Free Kid's Clinic
The Rockets will also be hosting a free kid's clinic following their match on Monday, where kids can meet and learn with the UT Rocket athletes. There will be free snacks and t-shirts for all participants, and participation is for all ages and pre-high school.Â
