Toledo Men Finish Fifth at All-Ohio Championships

NORTON, Ohio - The Toledo men's cross country team finished fifth with 115 points at the All-Ohio Championships on Saturday. The meet was hosted by the University of Akron.
"I'm happy with the way the men ran today," head coach Linh Nguyen said. "We were focused on a controlled start and then working hard the second half. The guys did a good job with that and moved up a bit over the race. Dismas (Koech) and Josh (Oeters) in particular ran really well today, both running personal best times."
Junior Dismas Koech set the pace for the Rockets, crossing the line with a time of 25:06.0 to place 29th. Senior Josh Oeters was the next Rocket to cross the finish line, taking 68th (25.44.9). Freshman Joel Duffield took 108th with a time of 26:16.9, with senior Jacob Wistinghausen following in 120th place (26:28.6). Senior Brian Stubelt finished with a time fo 26:47.2 to take 140th place.
The men's cross country team competes again on Oct. 12 at the Bradley Pink Classic.
