Rockets Travel Down I-75 for Dolores Black Falcon Invitational This Weekend

TOLEDO, Ohio —Toledo makes the short trip down I-75 this weekend to compete in the eighth-annual Dolores Black Falcon Invitational on Saturday-Sunday, April 7-8. The 36-hole tournament will be held at the par-72, 5,829-yard Stone Ridge Golf Club.
The Rockets will begin the event with a Noon tee time on Saturday, followed by an 11:00Â a.m. shotgun start on Sunday for the second round of action.
THE FIELD
• Sixteen schools are participating in the Dolores Black Falcon Invitational.
• Toledo will be competing against seven Mid-American Conference members – Akron, Ball State, Bowling Green, Central Michigan, Eastern Michigan, Ohio and Western Michigan – as well as Cleveland State, Detroit Mercy, Findlay, Illinois-Chicago, Indianapolis, Lawrence, Oakland and Youngstown State.

ROCKETS AT THE DOLORES BLACK FALCON INVITATIONAL
• Toledo has won Bowling Green's tournament on nine occasions, The Rockets brought home the tourney title in 1996, 1997, 2000, 2001, 2003, 2007, 2009, 2010 and most recently 2015.
• UT's lineup this week will include sophomore Saranlak Tumfong at #1, junior Pinyada Kuvanun at #2, junior Natcha Daengpiem at #3, junior Pimchanok Kawil at #4 and junior Hannah Kochendoerfer at #5. Sophomores Thunpijja Sukkasem and Donchanok Toburint will be competing as individuals.
LOOKING BACK AT THE COLONEL CLASSIC
• Toledo placed sixth at Eastern Kentucky's Colonel Classic in Richmond, Ky. last weekend.
• Sophomore Saranlak Tumfong led the Rockets for a second-straight tournament. She finished at six-over par 150 (76-74) to tie for ninth place, good for her second Top 10 showing of the season.
• Junior Pinyada Kuvanun posted UT's best round of the tourney in the opening round with a one-over par 73 to finish tied for 15th place at seven-over par 151 (73-78). Kuvanun leads the Rockets with a 72.7 stroke average.
• Junior Natcha Daengpiem (73-78=151/T-28th) was three strokes behind Tumfong and tied for 28th place for her second-best showing of the season.
ON THE HORIZON
• Toledo will return to action on Saturday-Sunday, April 14-15 with a trip to Columbus for Ohio State's Lady Buckeye Invitational.
