Toledo, Ohio - The Toledo men's tennis team is set to travel to DeKalb, Ill. for a 1:00 p.m. road contest against Northern Illinois on Friday. Friday's match comes in the penultimate weekend of the Mid-American Conference regular season.
The Rockets are coming off a 4-0 loss to No. 3 Ohio State on Sunday. Head coach Al Wermer is looking forward to the match and is confident in what he's seen from his team in practice.
"We felt really good about the team's performance last weekend," Wermer said. "The guys have continued to improve and their attitudes and training have been outstanding."
Sophomore Danilo Vukotic was the top player in the Rockets' match against the Buckeyes. Vukotic dropped the first set of his No. 3 singles contest, but was up 3-0 in the second set when the match was called due to the Buckeyes clinching after winning the No. 1, 2 and 6 matches.

Top performers for the Cardinal and Black are Louis-Philippe Hamel and Kristopher Ortega. Hamel is 12-4 in singles matches this season and is 4-1 in his last five outings. Ortega has a 12-6 record and is 3-2 in his last five singles matches
