Rockets in Third Place Following Day One of Idle Hour Collegiate

MACON, Ga. – Toledo carded identical 10-over par 298s in the first and second round on Monday and sits alone in third place following 36 holes at Mercer's Idle Hour Collegiate Championship. The host Bears shot an impressive three-under par 573 on the par-72, 6,083-yard Idle Hour layout and hold a commanding 20-stroke advantage.

Senior Pinyada Kuvanun spearheaded the Rockets' play with a one-under par 143 (72-71) and is just three strokes out of the lead. She trails Mercer's Terese Romeo (70-70=140) and Payton Schanen (70-72-142) by three and one stroke, respectively.

Kuvanun closed out her opening round with a pair of birdies to finish at even-par. She then triple-bogeyed her first hole in Round Two before tallying four birdies and 13 pars the rest of the way.

Senior Natcha Daengpiem (76-74) and junior Saranlak Tumfong (73-77) are tied for 18th place at six-over par 150, while senior Pimchanok Kawil (77-76) is tied for 29th place at nine-over par 153.ÂÂ Junior Thunpijja Sukkasem is also competing for the Rockets and tied for 67th place at 21-over par 165 (83-82).

Junior Donchanok Toburint is competing as an individual and tied for 59th place at 17-over par 161 (83-78).

The final round of the tournament will be held tomorrow with a shotgun start at 8:00 a.m. at Idle Hour Golf & Country Club.
