Toledo Prepares for Last Three Non-Conference Matches

TOLEDO, OH – The Toledo men's tennis team prepares for its last three non-conference matches of the 2016 season. UT welcomes Morehead St. on March 11 for a 1:00 p.m. match before travelling to Ann Arbor, MI to face the No. 24 Wolverines at 6:00 p.m. The Rockets will then host Marquette on March 13 at 1:00 p.m. If the weather permits, both home matches will be held outdoors at the UT Tennis Courts. The rain site will be at Shadow Valley Tennis Club in Maumee, OH.

"This weekend will be a busy tune-up for MAC play," said head coach Al Wermer. "Both matches we host will both be near-conference level teams so we'll expect roller-coaster rides throughout the matches. The Michigan match on Saturday will be a monumental task for our team, but our guys are extremely competitive and love these type of challenges."

Sunday's match vs. Marquette will be sponsored by Toledo tennis alum Jeff Traudt of State Farm Insurance. Free food will be provided for fans throughout the match. USTA will host a Play Day following the match at approximately 3:30. The free kid's clinic is for ages 4-13.
