Toledo Tied for First Place Following Round One of Rio Verde Invitational

 RIO VERDE, AZ – Seniors Manisa Isavas and Morgan Salm each carded even-par 72s to lead Toledo to a first-place tie following Friday's opening round of the Rio Verde Invitational.
The Rockets are tied for first place with Bradley at 10-over par 298 in a tight leaderboard that has just nine strokes separating the top 13 teams.
Isavas and Salm sit just one stroke out of first place on the individual leaderboard. Xavier's Hanna Lee, Bradley's Danielle Lemek and Wichita State's Gavrilla Arya each fired one-under 71s to lead the field.Â
Senior Sathika Ruenreong also enjoyed a strong day for the Rockets, posting a two-over par 74 to tie for 11th place. Rounding out the Rocket lineup are freshmen Natcha Daengpiem (80) and Pimchanok Kawil (82) tied for 67th and 84th place, respectively.
The second and third round will begin with 8:00 a.m. (PST) shotgun starts on Saturday and Sunday.
