Oxford, OH – Toledo couldn't slow Mid-American Conference East Division-leading Miami down on Friday evening in a 3-0 (25-16, 25-18, 25-17) set back to the RedHawks (17-4, 9-0 MAC). Miami has now extended its winning streak to 16-matches.
Â
"We lost to a very good team tonight," said head coach Greg Smith. "They showed us why they're on the top of the conference. This was a match where we couldn't afford to make mistakes and we definitely made some uncharacteristic ones."
The Rockets were limited to a .070 attack percentage, while Miami notched a .230 hitting mark.
Â
Junior MB Rachel Vidourek topped the Rockets with nine kills and a .316 attack percentage, while freshman MB Zoe Birnbrich garnered a team-high three blocks. Â
UT will head to Bowling Green for a matchup tomorrow night against the Falcons. First serve is set for 5:00 p.m.
