Toledo kicks off MAC play with 6-0 mark for first time in program history
TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo women's volleyball team pushed its winning streak to six-straight matches with a 3-1 win (25-21, 19-25, 25-15, 25-22) at Savage Arena on Friday night.
The win moves the Rockets to 14-2 (6-0 MAC), extending the best start in program history. It also marks the first time in program history that UT has started Mid-American Conference play with a 6-0 record.
Three Rockets reached double-figure kills, led by Sophie Catalano with 14 kills on a .333 hitting percentage. Sierra Pertzborn added 11 kills and four blocks, while Kayla Ozanich tallied 10 kills and four blocks.

Maddy Bach and Janelle Green each turned in double-doubles. Bach had 23 assists and 10 digs for her fifth double-double of the season, while Green totaled 22 assists and 13 digs for her sixth double-double of the year.
Jessica Costlow recorded 19 digs, her 12th contest of the season with double figures, and added in four service aces to tie her career-best. Avery Adamski collected 10 digs of her own.

Jessica Costlow put UT at set point, 24-21, before Lilly Merk and Costlow combined for a block to take the set win.
- Kent State opened the second set with an 8-2 run to take an early lead. Toledo responded with a 5-0 surge to get within one, 14-13, before the Golden Flashes pulled away with a string of kills to take the set win.
- A block from Ava Siefke and Merk and a kill from Sophie Catalano in the third set put Toledo ahead 10-6. A block from Ozanich and Pertzborn kept UT in front, 19-12, before Merk fired off a kill to cap off a 3-0 run for the Rockets to take the set win.
- Toledo strung together a 6-0 run early in the fourth to get ahead, 8-3. Kent State battled back with an ace to get within two, 15-13, before kills from Catalano and Siefke extended UT's advantage to 19-14. The Golden Flashes closed the gap to one with a kill. 22-21, before a kill from Pertzborn and an ace from Costlow secured the match victory.
