Rockets Return to the Pool for Dual Meet Against Oakland

TOLEDO, OH – The Toledo women's swimming and diving team returns to action this weekend when it hosts Oakland University at the UT Student Recreation Center. The meet is set to begin at 1:00 p.m.
The Rockets are coming off of a third-place finish at the Miami Invitational (Dec. 5) where they won two events. Katrin Streicher tallied a first-place finish in the 100-yard butterfly, posting a time of 55.33, and Samantha Richart placed first in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:00.61.
"We're excited to start our second semester schedule with Oakland on Saturday," said head coach Chris Peters. "They are defending conference champions so we're excited to race them. Our team has come together in the past month and we look forward to building on the momentum we've created."
The Oakland Grizzlies have a 5-1 overall record this season, including a 4-0 conference record.
The Midnight Blue and Gold are 2-3 in dual meets so far this season, including a 139-92 defeat over Duquesne on Nov. 7 and a 195-105 victory over Ball State on Oct. 23. Toledo recorded a combine 13 first-place finishes in those two meets.
