UT Opens Three-Match Homestand on Jan. 30

TOLEDO, OH – The Toledo men's tennis team prepares for its winter home opener this weekend. UT welcomes Youngstown State (1-1) on Jan. 30 for a 2:00 p.m. match before a doubleheader on Jan. 31 against Green Bay (2-1) and IUPUI (2-3). Toledo will face the Phoenix at 11:00 p.m. and the Jaguars at 3:00 p.m. All matches will be played at Twos Athletic Club.

"This is a great mix of matches for us," head coach Al Wermer said. "Each match could be extremely close. The doubleheader on Sunday will help us measure our fortitude. We're excited to get the Rocket fans and friends out for our first home matches!"

After the match on Saturday, the Rockets will host a free kid's clinic (8^th grade and under), which will include a meet and greet, giveaways and free food.

Toledo will host a 10-under tennis exhibition between Sunday's matches at approximately 1:30 p.m. and prizes will be given away throughout both matches.
