
Rockets in Second Place Heading into Final Round of MAC Championships

CHARDON, OH – Toledo jumped up two spots in Saturday's third round of the 2015 Mid-American Conference Championships and sits in second place at 14-over par 878. The Rockets are eight strokes behind tournament leader Miami at the par-72, 7,245-yard Mayfield Sand Ridge Club – Sand Ridge.
UT shot the best round of the day at one-over par 289 with junior Otto Black leading the way with a three-under par 69. Freshman Colin Joseph fired a two-under par 70, while senior Chris Selfridge carded an even-par 72. Rounding out the Rockets' lineup were senior Pat Cermak and freshman Stephen Watts with six-over 78 and eight-over 80, respectively.
Selfridge is leading Toledo in the individual standings at one-under par 215, trailing only the Ball State duo of McCormick Clouser (70-70-71=211) and Johnny Watts (76-71-67).
Black jumped 15 spots on the leaderboard today and is tied for 13th place at six-over par 222 (79-74-69), while Joseph leaped 10 places and is tied for 18th at seven-over par 223 (76-77-70). Watts is tied for 24th place at 10-over 226 (73-73-80) and Cermak is alone in 35th place at 13-over 229 (73-78-78).
The fourth and final round will be held on Sunday with the Rockets' teeing off with Miami and Ball State beginning at 12:40 p.m.
