Rockets Fall in Non-league Contest at Wright State on Tuesday

Toledo dropped a 7-1 decision to the Raiders at Nischwitz Stadium to conclude their non-conference schedule.
DAYTON, OH - The Rockets dropped a 7-1 decison at Wright State on Tuesday night at Nischwitz Stadium to conclude their non-conference schedule. With the loss, the Rockets are now 22-30 overall on the season.Â
Freshman hurler Kyle Rago was tagged with his third loss of the season as the right hander gave up three runs on four hits in 3.0 innings of work. Junior RHP Kevin Kline and sophomore RHP Steven Duby each gave up an earned run in relief for Rago while senior RHP Andrew Marra tossed a perfect frame in the sixth.Â
Freshman OF A.J. Montoya tallied a pair of hits, incIuding his eighth homer of the season, to lead the Rockets at the dish. Montoya now has a team-high 36 RBI and 62 hits this spring. Junior OF John Martillotta also tallied a pair of hits in three at bats.Â
The Rockets were plagued by four errors t and managed six hits in the contest.Â
The Midnight Blue & Gold will wrap up their regular season and look to solidfy their seed in the Mid-American Conference Tournament with a three-game series at Eastern Michigan on Thursday-Saturday, May 14-16.Â
