
Rockets in Fourth Place Following Cold, Wet Day at 2015 MAC Championship

Junior Sathika Ruenreong ties for best round of day with two-over par 74
LEBANON, OH – Toledo battled rainy, cold and windy conditions on Saturday and sits in fourth place following the second round of the 2015 Mid-American Conference Women's Golf Championships. The tournament is being held at the par-72, 6,191-yard Shaker Run Golf Course.
Junior Sathika Ruenreong paced the Rockets with a two-over par 74 which matched Kent State's Josee Doyon for the best round of the day. Ruenreong, who is tied for sixth place in the individual standings at 10-over par 154 (80-74), played her first 13 holes of the day at one-under par before bogeying three of her final five holes.
Junior Morgan Salm (T-34th/86-77=163) rebounded from a disappointing opening round to register Toledo's second-best score of the day with a five-over par 77. She was at three-over through 15 holes before posting bogeys on two of her final three holes.
The remainder of the Rocket lineup consists of junior Manisa Isavas (T-22nd/77-82=159), senior Stephanie St-Jean (T-27th/77-84=161) and senior Jennifer Elsholz (T-29th/75-87=162).
Kent State is leading the 10-team field at 33-over par 609 (304-305), 13 strokes ahead of Eastern Michigan (315-307=622) and Ohio (302-320=622). Toledo is four strokes out of second place with a team score of 50-over par 626 (309-317).
Doyon and Golden Flashes' sophomore Wad Phaewchimplee are separated by one stroke at the top of the individual standings at four-over par 148 (74-74) and five-over par 149 (72-77), respectively.
The third and final round will begin at 8:00 a.m. on Sunday.
