Toledo Finishes Third at MAC Championship for Fifth Top 3 Showing in Last 6 Years

Juniors Sathika Ruenreong and Manisa Isavas earn first- and second-team All-MAC honors, respectively
LEBANON, OH – Toledo concluded its 2014-15 campaign with a third-place showing at the Mid-American Conference Women's Golf Championships held at the par-72, 6,191-yard Shaker Run Golf Course. The finish marked the fifth time in the last six seasons UT has placed in the Top Three at the conference tourney.
Junior Sathika Ruenreong topped Toledo by finishing in seventh place at 16-over par 232 (80-74-78). She was followed by juniors Manisa Isavas (T-16th/77-82-77=236) and Morgan Salm (T-22nd/86-77-77=240), who paced the Rockets today by carding five-over par 77s.
Seniors Stephanie St-Jean (25th/77-84-81=242) and Jennifer Elsholz (T-33rd/75-87-85=247) rounded out the Rockets' lineup.
Following the tournament Ruenreong was named first-team All-MAC for the third straight year, while Isavas received second-team all-conference accolades for the second consecutive season.
Kent State captured the tournament title for the 17th straight year at 54-over par 918 (304-305-309), 10 strokes ahead of Eastern Michigan (315-307-306=928). Toledo was 11 strokes behind the Eagles at 939, five shots in front of fourth-place Ohio (944).
The Golden Flashes' Josee Doyon captured medalist honors with a six-over par 224 (74-74-74) with Bowling Green's Patricia Holt finishing as runner-up at 11-over par 227 (77-75-75).
